Three fishermen died, while two crew members were rescued by the Indian Navy after the boat ‘Rabah’ suffered a collision with a Singapore merchant vessel on April 13.
The Indian Navy deployed its special diving support, INS Inspector, to search and rescue the nine missing fishermen of the Kerala-registered mechanized fishing boat, which capsized along the Mangalore coast with 14 crew.
“Indian Navy to carry out deep-sea diving operations using special equipment and naval divers – Special Diving Support Vessel – strengthening ongoing search and rescue efforts for missing fishermen at sea off the coast of New Mangalore Was put into action by the government. “To assist in the rescue efforts, INS Subhadra, a patrol vessel, sailed from Karwar with a diving team. Two specialist diving teams searched the snag line in the area in an attempt to locate the submerged fishing craft, ”the press release stated.
